
Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
This course is aimed at learners who currently work, or want to work, in construction. It provides them with a basic knowledge of health and safety requirements, responsibilities, how they can identify and reduce the hazards and risks around them, understanding of lines of reporting etc.
The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is appropriate for individuals wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Green Card and to access construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.
The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). The specification for the qualification has been approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales.
The qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
ASQ will carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.
Candidates must complete the Mandatory unit.
