Need to check that a certificate or card is real? Or not sure which NVQ or course you need? Start here. These are the free checks and guides that people ask us about most.
Check a certificate or card
Employers, site managers and agencies often need to check a worker's qualification before they start. Use the official checker for each one:
- ProQual certificate check. Our NVQs are awarded by ProQual. You can check a ProQual certificate on the ProQual website: proqualab.com/certificate-verification.
- CPCS card check. For plant operators. The NOCN Group card checker shows a CPCS card. You need two details to search, and one must be the card or registration number or the National Insurance number: cpcs.nocn.org.uk/CPCS/cpcs-card-checker.
- CITB card check. CITB has its own online checker for its cards and training records: citb.co.uk/courses-tests/cards-and-training-records/check-a-card.
If a check does not show what you expect, ask the card holder or the scheme. We cannot change or confirm another body's records.
