How it works
Assessment starts as soon as you register: we contact you to plan it and arrange site visits for observation and professional discussion. Usually one or two visits are enough for a Level 2 NVQ. Levels 3 to 7 may need a few more, depending on the learner. Because we observe you while you work, there is little downtime. When you have finished, we apply for your certificate from the awarding body; it can take up to two weeks to arrive.
For NVQs, you can pay in two parts: half when you register, and the other half when your certificate is ready for collection. You can also pay in full at the start. For classroom courses such as SMSTS and SSSTS, pay a deposit to secure your place. The full fee must be paid before the course starts. Prices are shown including VAT, with the price before VAT beside it.

What are NVQs?
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are based on national occupational standards. These standards describe what competent people in a particular occupation are expected to be able to do. They cover all the main parts of an occupation, including current best practice, the ability to adapt to future requirements, and the knowledge and understanding that underpin competent performance.
