Level 1 Health And Safety In Awareness
This course will provide learners with an understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace and of the responsibilities employees and employers have under health and safety law. It outlines the hazards that are common in many workplaces and the effective methods to reduce them and the risk they pose to human health.
The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). The specification for the qualification has been approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales.
The qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
ASQ will carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.
Candidates must complete the Mandatory unit.

Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
