The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Interior Systems (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in the construction and the built environment sector working across a broad range of areas.
The main objective of this qualification is to demonstrate the learner’s occupational competence as an access flooring operative, ceiling fixer, operable partitioner, a partition fixer/demountable partitioner or a dry liner (finisher or fixer). Being a work-related, competence-based qualification it will provide, on completion, confirmation to employers, industry managers and card schemes that learners have the skills and knowledge needed to meet the nationally recognised standard to carry out their preferred role.
Learners can leverage on the skills and knowledge acquired from achievement of this qualification when working towards earning another qualification or gaining employment.

The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
It is also endorsed by the sector body for construction – CITB.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
ASQSL will carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.
ASSESSMENT METHOD
There are six pathways for this qualification and candidates are expected to choose which of the pathways that is most relevant to their skills.
The pathways are:
- Pathway 1: Modular Demountable Partitioning
- Pathway 2: Operable Partition Systems
- Pathway 3: Glass Partition/Internal Screen Systems
- Pathway 4: Dry Lining Fixing
- Pathway 5: Access Flooring
- Pathway 6: Acoustic Floor Installation
Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge described in the unit.
Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
