Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Healthcare and Social Care Support

The Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Healthcare and Social Care Support is appropriate for individuals, such as assistant practitioners, nursing and social work roles in a Healthcare and social care setting.

This qualification provides an excellent platform for those learners who are working in care settings or working in service users own homes. The Level 4 is a possible progression route for learners moving into supervisory or management roles.

The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

The specification for the qualification has been approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales and by the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for use by centres in Northern Ireland.

The qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

ASSESSMENT METHOD

Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.

You will study a range of key areas of knowledge applicable to working in the sector. These include:

  • Contribute to health and safety in health and social care
  • Handle information in health and social care settings
