About this timeframe
NVQ assessment duration varies depending on each candidate's experience, availability, workplace access, responsiveness and timely completion of assessment requirements. Experienced candidates with suitable existing evidence or relevant previous qualifications may complete their assessments considerably sooner through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), where applicable. Candidates requiring additional time or assessment support may take longer.
The stated duration is an indicative assessment completion period, not a guaranteed timeframe. All required assessment criteria must be satisfactorily met before certification can be recommended.
Please Note: The estimated completion period relates to the assessment process and does not necessarily include the time required for internal quality assurance, awarding-body verification and certificate issuance. Certification is subject to the satisfactory completion of all assessment and applicable quality assurance requirements.
You fix the sheets and panels that keep the weather out of a building. Clients and main contractors want proof that it is done right, and many sites ask for a blue CSCS card. This NVQ proves you are competent as a roof sheeter and cladder or a cladding panel installer.
You choose the pathway that matches your work: Roof Sheeting and Cladding, or Specialised Cladding and Rainscreen Systems. Our assessor watches you work on your own site.
Who it is for
- roof sheeters and cladders on industrial, warehouse and commercial buildings
- installers who fit cladding panels and rainscreen systems
- experienced cladders with no qualification who need a card for site
The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
